This 250 acre gated community in the mountains was inspired by the spectacular views from up high, ‘Altos’ in Spanish, and the Spanish Colonial architectural style of its houses is reminiscent of the city of Antigua in Guatemala; hence the name Altos de Antigua.
The development is located within the "Paso de Lapas" (way of the Macaw) Ecological Corridor and is just 20 minutes north of the Parque Nacional La Cangreja. This area is abundant with natural wildlife and is carefully developed so as not to disturb this natural resource.
Sitting at an altitude of 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) it has mild temperatures (18˚C to 30˚C, 65˚F to 85˚F) and soft, cool breezes year round.

Local are shopping includes fresh fruits and vegetables at the local markets. Everything you need on a weekly basis is available in Santiago de Puriscal which is 18 minutes away by car. For North American specialty products you can head in to San Jose where anything you can find in North America you can find there plus a ton of things that you cant find in North America.
